There are only 3 simple things which I recommend to kickstart your day on a positive note. Only choose one to begin with...
Movement:
To get the blood flowing and energy going it is a great idea to incorporate some form of movement into that morning routine. As little as 3-5 minutes could help. Try this routine which I have put together for you.
Mindset:
It was shown in research that a group that was shown a normal (usually negative) news piece versus a group that was shown a more positive and uplifting piece had a lasting impact on their days. The group that saw the positive news piece was 88% more likely to report having had a good day later on.
Good case for a happy song or positive podcast in the morning?
Mindfulness:
A proven stress reducer which has also been shown to improve memory and creativity. Using the Headspace or Calm apps are a good start point however conscious breathing for 2-minutes can work as well (try 4 second inhale - 2 second pause and 6 second exhale for 5 breaths).
